Rispetto alla XXI.17 (che è orientata col nord in alto, il numero delle chiese plebane è superiore (19 contro 18). Da notate che in entrambe compare la scritta: “Si è delineata parte della Diogesi di Brugnate acciò si veda l’estensione della Provincia della Lunigiana, che appartiene al Granduca di Toscana”. Ad est, pare che nella prima carta il confine della diocesi sia attestato sul fiume Maddalena, mentre nella seconda sembra correre più ad ovest. Da notate che si raffigura il territorio diocesano, indipendentemente dallo stato a cui apparteneva (Genova, Massa, Granducato).
